With over 450 international research publications, 52 specialized books, and 2 European patents, he has made a significant mark in the fields of artificial intelligence and computational systems. As Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor of several prestigious scientific journals such as IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, he is not only an outstanding scientist recognized by ACM but also serves as an academic bridge between continents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2\">He has chaired more than 40 international conferences, lectured at numerous leading universities worldwide, and acted as an advisor for major EU research programs including Marie Curie, FET, and EUREKA. He serves as the co-director of the <em>Assessing Health in a Digitalizing Real-World Setting (AHeaD)<\/em> research group of the Bordeaux Population Health Lab. Dr. Diallo is an affiliated member of the Connected Minds Program at York University in Canada and was a Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota, USA, in 2022. His expertise lies in applying symbolic AI approaches and semantic technologies to healthcare and ICT for development (ICT4D), with applications such as drug discovery and disease trajectory prediction, focusing especially on low- and middle-income countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0; font-size: 16px;\">He has published more than 115 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals (Information Fusion, JMIR, IEEE\/ACM TCBB, Scientific Reports, etc.) and holds several patents. Dr. Diallo has also participated in numerous high-level international panels and conferences on AI education and digital innovation. In 2024, he served as an AI expert for the <em>&#8220;Training of international-level human resources to serve the Ho Chi Minh City Smart City Master Plan (FONIVILLI)&#8221;<\/em> project under the Asia-Pacific branch of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie. His research interests include Internet of Things (IoT), service computing, big data analytics, machine learning, and Web technologies. He is ranked by Microsoft Academic as one of the Most Impactful Authors in Services Computing (Top 5 All Time) and by ScholarGPS as one of the Highly Ranked Scholars in Web Information Systems (Top 5 Lifetime). Michael Sheng has received multiple prestigious awards such as the AMiner Most Influential Scholar in IoT (2018), ARC (Australian Research Council) Future Fellowship (2014), Chris Wallace Award for Outstanding Research Contribution (2012), and Microsoft Research Fellowship (2003). He earned his M.Sc, Ph.D., and D.Sc. (habilitation) degrees in electrical engineering from Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology (WUST) in 1988, 1994, and 2001, respectively. He is currently a full professor and head of the Department of Antenna Theory and Computational Electromagnetism in the Department of Telecommunications and Teleinformatics at WUST. His current research interests include numerical methods in computational electromagnetism with applications to antennas, microwave devices, and electromagnetic compatibility. From 2016 to 2020, he served as WUST&#8217;s Vice-Rector for Industrial Cooperation and Informatization. His work has been used in commercial ventures for pharmaceutical companies and online assessment businesses.
